Hockey Game from H.E double hockey sticks
A few weeks ago my husbands beer hockey league opened back up from being closed to players and fans due to Covid. The game was a 5:00pm game on a Saturday and we thought it would be a perfect game to take the girls too. There is a bar over-looking the green rink he was playing on so Mama could get a beer while I fed my kids some wholesome bar food. Taylor had just started daycare a few weeks before and we have already 94 different virus' in the past few weeks and though I was feeling under the weather, I figured it was just exhaustion like always. We got to the game with 12 bags, 2 kids and a double stroller. Just as we sat down to watch, Kennedy told me she was hungry so we headed up to the dumpy bar to grab a blue moon and some fries. All of the other wives were already seated elbows deep in a pitcher. I asked Kennedy what she wanted and she said she wasn't hungry. I took a few sips out of my beer that didn't taste great at the time and looked back at her standing behind the table and she was covered in vomit. I quickly grabbed all our crap, threw the last 2 bucks cash I had on the table and ran downstairs. I run toward to ice and wave at Jeff trying to flag him down to tell him we needed to get the F out of there. He waved back, throw up both hands and yell WE GOTTA GO!!!!. We get the girls in the car and on our way and Ken says she needs to "spit". The ONLY thing I have to give her is my very expensive handbag and she somehow misses and throws up all over herself, and my car. We pull into a WALMART parking lot so she can get it all out, I take one look at her and start barfing too. The 15 minutes home was the lonest of my life. We get home and Jeff gets Taylor to bed, Kennedy a bath and all of us go outside in the rain to clean out my car. 1 cause its new and 2. because if you leave that nastiness in there all night it will smell like death forever. After a few times "spitting" in her bed she fell asleep. I vomited on the other hand , from 5 PM to 245AM. Its not a week and a half later and I am still reeling !
Just a little levity for a Friday afternoon.
